Improving Relations with the Locals
Kim's Totem Class
This is a quest only for Woodworkers level 50+ that have mining and lumbering skills of 240+, and have completed the Improving Relations with the Locals quest. If you fit the bill, speak with Kim Nurwin (-175, 7, -177).
STEPS:
1) Gather 10 wood blocks. You'll find these on the left side of a house, on the outside (-157, 7, -188).
2) Head east into the Mystic River so that you can wash the blocks (auto-update).
3) Now you'll need to sand the blocks by running along Mara Beach near the fishing pier (19, -3, 26).
4) Head east to harvest some quartz next to a pile of rocks near the waterfall (-261, .6, -78).
5) You will now need to purchase sandpaper (the 6c each variety) from any tradeskill zone with a supply merchant.
6) Go back to the Village of Shin, and head to the east part of the Courtyard of Hope. There you'll find an urn you must examine (-12, 15, -103).
7) Return to Kim Nurwin to complete your quest and get Nurwin's Whittling Knife and Wantia Artisan's Satchel.
