This quest is give by Hunter Snake-Eye (-381, 43, -202), found in a hunting camp on a ledge. Be wary if you have not earned wnough faction with the Kunzar Jungle Villagers, as there are several near Snake-eye. You may have to kill some in self-defense, but it won't lower your faction too much; it is easily made up in further quests.
It is not clear whether or not the quest Hides for Sebilis is a pre-requisite for this quest or whether it is just a way to send you to meet Hunter Snake-eye. I have been assured that it is a pre-req, and that it is not a pre-req. If anyone has the definitive answer, let me know! =)
At any rate, I was offered this quest right after I handed in the other quest.
Hunter Snake-Eye says, 'Wait, you want to earn some coin?'
You say, 'I like coin.'
Hunter Snake-Eye says, 'Kill these raptors for me?'
You say, 'I thought you could take them with your bare claws?'
Hunter Snake-Eye says, 'I can, but I have something else to do. It's very important. Only I can stop them...'
You say, 'Whatever you say, but sure, I'll hunt the raptors for coin.'
Hunter Snake-Eye says, 'Good! You bring the hides, I give you the coin - simple!'
You say, 'Simple... yeah.'
Quest text: Hunter Snake-Eye has requested my assistance in gathering trakaraptor hides for the citizens of Outer Sebilis.
1. Gather 10 Trakaraptor hides.
The closest trakanasaurs are at (-576, 19, -125), and mixed in with a lot of quatchas. I am sure you have a number of quatcha smushing quests along too, so you can work very efficiently here. If the raptors here are not abundant enough for your liking, continue east to Trakaraptor alley, where they make a wall-to-wall carpet. The trakanasaurs at the location given above are level 76.
2. I should return the hides to Hunter Snake-Eye.
Hunter Snake-Eye says, 'You have the hides?'
You say, 'As many as you need.'
Hunter Snake-Eye says, 'Like killing hatchling babes, isn't it?'
You say, 'That's not quite how I would describe it.'
Hunter Snake-Eye says, 'Well, still, you did it pretty easily?'
You say, 'I don't know about easily, but I did it.'
Hunter Snake-Eye says, 'Point is you're ready for a greater challenge, aren't you?'
Sure you are. Believe me, you still have plenty of work to do here!
