You will find Takk resting on the hilly area in the northeastern part of Graystone Yard (828, -20, -169).
Speak at length with the venerable man to receive the next part of the quest, "A Sleeping Stone: Dark Shadows".

Greetings, honored one. I am sorry to disturb you, but I was sent to you by Hollen, who I believe is your grandson.
"You are mistaken. You were not sent here by Hollen."
My apologies, but I was. I met him out in Teren's Grasp, and he sent me to speak with you.
"No. Hollen did as he was meant to do, just as you will do. And just as I will do. You are here because the spirits are the ones who sent you here."
How is it that you know so much?
"When the spirits speak, I listen. When they give me direction, I follow. I seem wise to men, because I speak the words of spirits and impart their wisdom on my fellows. They have told me about the journey before you, and to expect our paths to cross. And indeed, you are here, before me."
Then you know what I have come to you for, I take it?
"I know that the spirits speak your name, and they have asked that I be their vessel to offer you guidance, and to help you see what it is you must face."
Then you have a task for me?
"Imagine being in a room, with a single torch lit in the middle. Over time, the fuel for the torch is consumed, the light from the torch begins to dwindle, and the darkness of the room begins to take over. It is usually a slow process, and is easy to observe."
Indeed, I would agree with that. Go on.
" You an see the darkness creep over the walls, and across the floor and the roof as the light fades. It is brightest near the light, and the shadows creep closer when the light dims. This is the natural order of things, and is a truth we all embrace."

"However, what if it happened in reverse? What if instead of holding back darkness, the light instead BECAME the darkness? What if the light we saw was not truly light in that case, but was a bright darkness instead?"
I'm sorry friend. I'm not sure I can follow you.
"Do not blame yourself, it is not likely you would be able to understand it without seeing it. Therefore, this must be the next step in your journey."
Where am I to go then?
"Look to the Hidden Vale. You may find answers to your questions there. Return to me once you have searched the Vale."

Takk has explained to me a vision that he had recently. He has seen dark figures surrounding an altar, drawing in spiritual energy and consuming it. He has asked that I investigate this ominous dream, and see if there is a way to put a stop to it. He believes that the area in his vision was an area known as the Hidden Vale.
I must investigate the Hidden Vale, as instructed by the elder sage, Takk.
The Hidden Vale of old is now known to most as the Shattered Vale, and is an instanced zone off Antonica, just north of Stormhold in the eastern mountain range.
It is important to note, when bringing friends along, that they must be level 80 to enter the zone. It is annoying to get there and find out when you try to zone in that your level 79 buddy can't go!
Having lost two groupmates to the level restriction, I was happy to see that we did this zone very easily with just four in the group. I am sure it can be duo'd with some effort, but us dwarves like to be careful and have fun.
Be sure to choose the "Hidden Vale" option when selecting at zone-in.
You will discover that the zone is populated by Sellok Cultists. They are all 80^^ and come in three flavors: Netherblade, Runecaller and Soulburner.
Quest text:
I must beware of the dark shadows I was forewarned about by Takk. (0/6)
After clearing the first few from the entrance, you will want to focus on the other mob type in the zone: A Darkened Spirit (80^^^). These are the spirits Takk warned you about, and you need to kill 6 of them to progress your quest. They float around outside of the perimiter of the druidic ring.
Once that is done, your quest will update:

I must search for any other clues within the Vale.
You will notice that the horned altar in the middle of the druid ring is now highlightable. Your party will have to kill all of the Sellok Cultists in order for you to reach it, so get to work!
Once the way is clear, right click on the altar for your update.
Quest update:
I found a dark altar, but I was not able to destroy it.
Well, admittedly I didn't try very hard, but I'll go along with the text.

I have investigated the Hidden Vale, and must return to Takk within Graystone Yard.
Do so, after thanking your groupmates for coming along to look after your Mystic butt, promising to help them on their epics too.
You'll find Takk right where you left him, sitting on the hillside in the northeast part of Graystone Yard.
"You have returned. What is it you have found?"
I saw what was happening there. I was attacked by shadowy spirits when I walked through the vale.
Quest Complete!
I was able to find the dark spirits possessing the altar within the Hidden Vale. Although I was able to destroy the apparitions, the altar continues to draw in more energy within it. I must find a way to destroy or purify this altar.
You are now ready for the next quest... or I should say, next THREE quests, for Takk now gives you "A Sleeping Stone: Dark Enlightenment", "A Sleeping Stone: Restoring Valor" and "A Sleeping Stone: Great Beasts".
