This portion of the Fury Epic Quest walkthrough is authored by:

You have been sent to the Fens of Nathsar for the "Vanity of the Cockatrice" quest. You will receive an automatic update at (264,-42,1077), telling you to equip the mask you were given. You will receive a hunk of meat.
Then talk to A Sharp Stonebeak, who has a quest book over his head. He will instruct you to defeat 15 cockatrice juveniles. These are the green conned Nathsar Stonebeaks which roam in the area.
Return to the Sharp Stonebeak, who then asks you to kill the Beta Cockatrice. These are the Domineering Stonebeaks, which wander in pairs nearby.
Return to the Sharp Stonebeak again and he tasks you with defeating a named cockatrice, Purple Quill. Although he is a heroic mob, it is an easy fight. To spawn him, you must click on his nest, found down in the Lakeshore Ruins, among the Yah-Lei, on a platform.
When you go back to the Sharp Stonebeak once more, he instructs you to fight the Alpha Female, named Alpha Instinct who spawns right next to you! It is a 83^ Heroic mob. We recommend having at least 3 people in your group for this fight, as we saw two Furies turned into meatloaf several times while trying to duo it.
When the Alpha Insinct is defeated, only one "second pride rock" will drop, but the rock will respawn so that all Furies in the group can obtain the update, just as it did for the Pack Mentality mob in the previous quest.
Upon turning in this kill to the questgiver, he sends you to Kunzar Jungle with the next quest, "The Cunning of the Trakaraptor", along with a new mask to use.
