Yeah, took me some fiddling around with it to figure out as well, luckily I was only like a couple levels past the first skill unlock point =)

Rofl.... classic moment, so glad you caught it in artistic form to be treasured for all eternity =) Kinda feel bad about gettin ya to join up tho, as I was one of the ones trying every form of persuasion from rationality to raging black orc... grrr.. gettin worked up just remembering trying to deal with the asshats that gave order about a 90% win rate in that PQ event...

Actually, once you level up a little bit, squishies are pretty durable if they have a healer and/or are quick with their roots =)

CoW is closed to open applications. However, family/friends of current members can still get in for the most part. =)

While it may not help... try giving the latest nVidia beta drivers, 177.92, a try - seems very solid, lot of performance boost on higher end cards, may help yours out enough to run WAR. It seems to have fixed my occaisional CTD issues, and everything runs smoother so far. =)

I can't take the credit for making this, but doesn't it rock? =)

Yes, its useful - depending on how many levels yours clears - at least on raids, some form of dispell is very useful in removing damage shields... it'll strip buffs in pvp/duels... etc..

Buffs/Debuffs are cast at certain levels, not necessarily the level of the player/mob - for example, a particular raid target may be a level 84 mob, but cast spells at level 89, so you would need a cure spell/potion that cures at least 89 levels to remove it. The same goes for removing beneficial effects with Dispell Magic... make sense now?

Pet pathing is a known issue - something in the latest patch they put in for the preview weekend broke pet pathing, it *should* be fixed sometime in the next week if you're still in beta =)
13  Massively Multiplayer Games / EverQuest II / Re: Guild Halls on: August 24, 2008, 12:30:03 AM
Ah, I was unaware of the new expansion's links to the old world..

While all transport options may/may not be worth getting, the key thing to remember is limitation to number of amenities - if you've got a T3 hall and plenty of funds/status available, they're all worth picking up - the majority of guilds will likely be in T2 halls or have a more limited supply of funds/status, and when you start considering which amenities you really want to have, vs. which ones would just be 'nice' to have, a number of options aren't worth the combined cost of purchase + amenity slot for most folks.

Found an awesome writeup at
http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56998

Its a very long writeup from a guy thats been in beta for about a year, covers all classes/etc - worthwhile read if you haven't been testing for a while, heck, may give extra insights even if you have =)
