Well I have played many SOE games for long periods of time and at great expence (When added up over time). I started with SWG and The Consortium a month or 2 after launch. I have many good memories of the people and the game. When EQ2 arrived I played that too with Tcon (remeber Inn of the Sun & Inn of the Moon anyone?) My playtime with SWG dwindled and I finally gave up playing it after Wonderhome merged with another server, but I still played EQ2. My playtime dwindled as more of the guild left. Early last year I started to play it again up until the first announcement from SOE that they had made a deal with a german company that would take over European accounts. I smelt a rat and left. Glad I did!! I will NEVER play another SOE game again. If you want to know why you can take a lo9ok at this thread on the EQ2 forums:- http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?&topic_id=516732

Are you ok, Brasse? It seems like the website hasn't been updated in a long while and I was just concerned for you.

Are you ok, Brasse? It seems like the website hasn't been updated in a long while -- did FarmVille have something to do with that or is it just my browser?

The previous tales have come to a close. The new tale, Tale VI, starts on Saturday, December 3, at noon EST (GMT-0500) The game offers the first 24 hours of play free as a trial. You can download the client from http://atitd.comUnlike most MMOs, there is no direct combat. Instead you compete with and against others to help develop Egypt's technologies and to attain levels in the seven disciplines: Architecture, Art & Music, Harmony, the Human Body, Leadership, Thought, and Worship. As an example, one of the Art & Music tests is called the Test of Khefre's Children. To pass this test you breed and cross-breed beetles trying to develop interesting patterns and then enter your beetles in shows. Other Egyptian citizens then vote on their favorites. If you win a level 1, level 2, and level 3 show, then you pass the test. To see some spectacular looking beetles, check out: http://www.atitd.org/wiki/tale4/Beetlemania/ScarabsI'll be on at opening on Saturday. If you're around, look for merek!

*sigh* As much as I wish there could be only one Wren (ME!), the wanna-bes abound. It was not I, for I am loving Rift. LOVING it!! Hope you are having fun. wren

Hey all, There's a new game called Glitch going through some testing phases. It's a side scrolling game with harvesting/crafting, achievements, exploring, puzzles, and quests. Next week (maybe April 18-19?) is supposed to be the start of beta, although the exact schedule hasn't been announced yet. I only got into it this week, so I haven't progressed very far, but it seems fun. Alpha is closed now, though, so no playing until next week. For more info, you can check out the official web site at http://glitch.com, or the wiki at http://www.glitch-strategy.com/wiki/Glitch_WikiMy character's name is Merek. P.S. I thought I saw Wren go by... have you tried this, Wren, or was it an imposter?

I remember Cainne, too! The more the merrier, and I hope to be there eventually, too (but not as Boktok, probably as Gordion if I can). Perhaps I'm overly paranoid thinking the game gods are conspiring against me, but I finally broke down and bought Rift. So what happens? After installing it, I get an error 2002, which turns out to mean that I neglected to register. Ok, fine. I login since I created and account for the final beta, and begin the registration process. Although you get 30 days free, you still have to select a payment plan. I do this, then hit submit, and after a minute or so of what appears to be Trion authentication, up pops a "Page cannot be displayed" error. *sigh* As has been drilled into my head, never ever try to reload/resubmit a monetary transaction page. So instead I attempt to go to the Account page and find that while I was registering they took the registration site down for maintenance. Perhaps I'll see you all some day... Edit: I guess I should have complained sooner! As soon as I finished posting the message above, I figured I'd try registration and it worked! Now I just have to download everything.
