Awww should have thrown me a /tell Bok. Even in battles I try to keep an eye out for the blue text. I grouped with Ezri a few times and got into some pickup groups. It's nice that they give you a list of open groups in the area. I think I did all the PQs at least twice in each area. I had a blast all weekend and ended up yesterday at nearly lvl 14.
Now waiting for the 7th!

I was grouping with vanchelo this weekend messing around in WAR. I tried a chaos marauder, dwarven engineer, and a high elf archmage.
Of those I enjoyed the marauder and the engineer the most. The chaos marauder is a freak hehe I had fun pinching people in PVP. Nothing like running around with a huge crab claw running around slamming out aoes in a big pvp mosh pit. I was also very amused one of my attacks which is very well animated mind you makes a huge purple tounge come out of my mouth to attack the opponent. Its a spell interupt and I imagine if somebody shot a big purple tounge and licked me that would break my concentration too.
The dwarven newbie area for what I saw of it was very well done and amusing.
The high elf area was acting a bit buggy for us there was a couple quests where the items just were not appearing correctly.
My biggest gripe from the weekend was pathing. There are some deffinate pathing glitches now and I hope they can get that locked down. I don't think I would even try a mobile pet class with pathing as it currently was working. Van was trying a white lion and most mobs were nearly dead before the lion would get around to attempting to attack it.
Bah forgot to add what I liked about things.
First the PQ's are fun and very well done it looks like most areas I saw have two easily findable ones and one or two that are off the beaten path a bit so if you actually have your own group its probably easier to get loot off the more spread out PQ's. Having your first PQ spawn a flesh hound of khorne was pretty impressive.
The marauder I enjoyed this class way more than expected if you want to be a weird mutated freak of nature this is a good class. If you go the path of monstrosity you can use your more clubby looking hand and most of the attacks are aoe which is AWESOME in pvp. You can run around like a crack monkey in big masses of people just slamming away to cause a lot of chaos.
Its also kinda fun on the chaos side when somebody in pvp says we need a plan you can truthfully say HELL NO we are chaos who needs a plan RAAAAWWWWWWWRRRRR which the orks should respond to with WAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH and mayhem should commence. Win or lose if you cause havok and confusion you are doing it right!

Pet pathing is a known issue - something in the latest patch they put in for the preview weekend broke pet pathing, it *should* be fixed sometime in the next week if you're still in beta =)

Oh its not pet pathing its everything pathing but honestly for a stress test day this kind of thing is not to unusual. In wow they had the big fun of the evade bug weekend. During their stress test mobs would evade bug and become unkillable. To make it worse they would only ever reset when the whole server got reset so by the end of the days you could not find mobs to kill that were not bugged.
Eh I am not to worried I still had fun and pvp was a hoot although as chaos I have to ask the humans please STOP BURNING ME gaaaaa how many freaking bright mages do you guys need seriously.

Pathing was interesting. It took me a while to figure out whether it was a bug or a feature, since one of my spells has a "disrupt" action. But when the mobs I hit started running madly in the exact opposite direction, then turned around (some times a long time later) and ran back, I figured there might be a wee coding glitch!
I was on really late last night. I visited the Inevitable City again and found that it had fallen to the forces of Order. I'm not entirely sure how that happened, but it was quite odd. There weren't any order-faction PCs there, as far as I could tell, but there were high level NPCs that weren't too happy to see my little green self.
One thing that I really liked, and this is from a kind of selfish point of view, I was able as a soloer to get Influence points. Sure, it was a lot more fun doing that in a group, but when groups are hard to find, or when I only have a short time that I can be on, it's nice to know I can still work on stuff like that.
I'm still curious about crafting. I tried Cultivation and Apothecary. So far I'm not impressed. The UI is pretty good, but it seemed very basic. One thing that I did like was being able to grow seeds in my pockets while doing other stuff. I'm hoping that was a feature and not a bug.

Looks like there's going to be a preview weekend (starting tomorrow) before the Open Beta starts on Sunday for people who played during the original preview weekend. I haven't applied to Casualties (and probably won't since my playing time is somewhat limited these days) but I'd love to get on the same server with all of you. Can you let me know which one you'll be on? I'll probably try some different characters this time, although I really did enjoy my little green shaman.

Yeah, we'll let you know. Actually, this isn't the same "preview weekend" as last time. They are actually calling this Open Beta. I think it is supposed to last until the next weekend when they will wipe everything and start the early-start for the pre-order crowd.

The leaders of CoW will pick servers as soon as the early, early start (for CE bastids) goes live, tomorow at 1pm. ...assuming that they can log on through the ravenous spam-clicking crowd.
As soon as they do I hope someone starts a NEW POST in the Warhammer thread here to let us know.
