Whar be tha chart o that new and vile underseawater dunjon VEKSAR? Tongue LOL just kidding Brasse Lass!  Sak knows yer loaded with stuffs to do. Sak be sorry ye lost yer favorite drinking vessel, me knows how this is cuz me lost MY favorite mug, a fine pewter and silver piece o work from the same foundry as yer mug is. Lost it at a Faire we did...so sad that I've yet to find a new one to match it. Aye, I still does me drinking, but me drinks from clay these days for there is naught in the way of metalwork to suit me. Good luck, Lass, me hopes and prays to Brell that yer mug shows its mug again, if ye get me meanin'.
All love Brasse and thanks for the site.

A side note to Wren...Lassie, ye be doin' fine work with the kitties! Me wife (tha lovely wee gnome Corkey) and I applaud yer actions! We spend time of our own at the shelter (no kill, by Brell!) helping folks such as yerself find the right life-pet. Sorry it didn't work out for your lovely tortykitty, but finding a right good home is the best thing you could do. Our evil landlady (a real ogre, no offense, she is human, but THINKS she is an ogre, so she overdoes the part) allows us one pet, so we have two. Wink

Take care all! Good Walkin to ye!

I am just back from the Vet hospital. I had to have my cat Jake the Cat put to sleep after a 13 year friendship. He was a great little beastie, but his health got really bad at the end, and this way was preferable to him suffering multiple operations and permanent catheterizations. I loved him with all my heart, and I will miss him greatly. I can only hope and pray that in whatever place we go to after this life, there is a plentitude of slow sparrows, stupid squirrels, and racoons just begging for a fight. This was Jake when he first met a pumpkin...

I know I'm a stranger here, but as someone who loves animals and has 6 cats myself, I'm truly sorry for the loss of your Jake. His picture is so sweet, I mourn your loss too.

I'm not a very religious person, but I love this poem.
Quote
Lend Me a Kitten

I will lend to you for awhile a kitten, God said.
For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he's dead.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years, or maybe two or three.
But will you, 'till I call him back, take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you and, should his stay be brief
You'll always have his memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught below I want this kitten to learn.

I've looked the whole world over in search of teachers true.
And from the folk that crowds life's land I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labor vain?
Nor hate me when I come to take my kitten home again?

I fancied that I heard them say 'Dear Lord Thy Will Be Done'
For all the joys this kitten brings the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may.
And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.

But should you call him back much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand.
If, by our love we've managed your wishes to achieve,
Then in memory of him whom we loved, please help us while we grieve.
When our cherished kitten departs this world of strife,
Please send yet another needing soul for us to love all his life.

Thank you. While the poem made me cry all over again, it really did help. Much appreciated friend.

Hey there... I am so sorry for the loss of you cat. We have three dogs, four ferrets, two lizards, three snakes and now... a cat too.
Having had a lot of animals throughout my life, I know how very much it hurts to lose them. Take comfort that you were able to give one splendid animal a happy life here. That is all anyone can ask of a caregiver.

As far as Veksar goes... I have a zone guide (with map) going into the October issue of Massive Gamer.
If you are a member of Stealth guild in EQII, you can often get sneak previews of my maps, as I post them privately for purposes of proofing. =)
It was a fun zone to map. Small, but interesting.

Well, this is Duchess Roadkill. She adopted us by planting her little snowshoe butt on the back passenger tire -- the top part, inside the wheel well -- of our van. If it weren't for our sons, we would NEVER had spotted her and thus she earned her name. She is a snooty little thing too. Wakes us up by smacking us in the face or other (in the case of poor Corkey) on other tender portions of her anatomy. OW! Anyhow, this is her when she was younger. Now she is a little fatty and much darker, as all snowshoes are wont to do.

Yay for snowshoes!

Here's my Nyx when she was a baby. She's of course darkened right up and became a chub as well, that photo is about 9 years old.

She's actually on a diet now.  Undecided

I wonder if all snowshoes are snooty. Nyx prefers to headbutt to get attention, and she does not hold back.
