After seeing how everyone else is heading over to Warhammer I decided to see if my system could run it.  I had doubts due to the age of my system.  It's an old P4 Single Core 3.0Ghz with an Nvidia GeForce 7800 GS which I think is the last AGP card that Nvidia made.  After checking out the link provided by Quin (Thanks btw!!!) at the systems requirements lab, it says that my machine should be able to run it.  I'm barely over the line of minimum system requirements but I'm over the line Smiley.

I was actually able to score a copy of the Collector's Edition off of Ebay for a mere $0.65 cents more than the original cost of the CE.  If my estimations are right on the delivery time I should be able to play by this weekend, unless I decide to rebuild my system before I load up WAR to make sure I have the best speed possible.

I'm probably going to play Chaos as my main as the Magus looks like the most fun to play.  While I know the whole server issue is discussed in depth here in other posts could someone help me out and just tell me where the final decisions was made to make characters for both Order and Chaos?  Also, if anyone knows if those servers have been capped as of yet?

Thanks in advance Cheesy

Casualties of War are on:
Order: AVERHEIM
Destruction: THORGRIM

InnMates also have a small guild on THORGRIM, Quinatan is the leader.

I am kaid and baradun on thorgrim for destruction. I have not played the order server much yet. We do have an innmates chapter going but its teensy mainly got it going as an interim to see if we wanted to do the cow thing. If you are interested in doing keep raids and stuff like that I would have to recommend trying to get into cow as WAR is a very RVR oriented game and being in a guild able to get some groups together to do that stuff is good.

I thought that the CoWs were still closed to new applicants so I'll be more than happy to hang out in the Innmates until such time as I too might become a Bovine Smiley.

CoW is closed to open applications. However, family/friends of current members can still get in for the most part. =)

I've grouped with a few CoWs from time to time for PQs mostly.  They seem like a good bunch if you're looking for a guild.

If you haven't applied to CoW under the "Friends and Family" exemption, you need to do it NOW. Recruitment closes for everyone tomorrow, 25 September.

Unfortunately I won't be getting my game until Friday (26th) at the earliest and more likely next Monday (shipped UPS Ground).  Can I apply without having a character in game?  I have no idea what name I'll take since most of my normal names will have most likely been taken by now Sad.

Yes, go apply, Reg. Make sure you tell them you are a friend of Brasse and Esri! Same to you, Bithnar.

Unfortunately I had an appointment with a new neurosurgeon yesterday.  What with an hour+ ride in and out plus another hour or two in the office I was unable to even get on the computer let alone do anything meaningful like register/post on the CoW forums Sad.  Do you think they'll let a broken down old man have one more day to make an appearance?

They have completely shut down Friends and Family now, as scheduled, because they are bursting at the seams. I think an InnMates guild is in order, and then see CoW about becoming official (if teeny) allies. In a month or two when numbers drop, I am sure CoW will open up again, and it will be all referral/recommendation based.

Not sure if Quinatan still has the InnMates going, but Jen (Tyraenna) is also not in CoW, so I am sure one way or another we'll do just fine!

Yup we still have the innmates group. I have baradun in cow but kaid is still in the innmates. If you see me on as baradun and need an invite to innmates I can log on the lil herder. Probably see more people on as innmates once jen gets back from traveling for work since I think cow is full enough that alts probably would get a bit to much we are keeping that set in our own lil guild.

Yah, I only have my main for each side guilded in CoW (Brazze and Brasse).

My little alts run around herdless, but they are just for testing/research for the most part.

I have the game, but I'm trying to decide if I should wait for a month or two til I can afford a new system that can play it properly, or if I should just try to play it on my barely above minimum spec machine here.  I've been having tons of fun in TR, CoX, LotRO, DR, and Civ IV so not sure how/where I'll get the time to play Warhammmer right now unless it's so addictive that I have to let everything else drop....decisions...decisions...
