Here's a nfity library-centric quiz!
Your Dewey Decimal Number
I got:
Patrice Sartor's Dewey Decimal Section:
Class:
000 Computer Science, Information & General Works
Contains:
Encyclopedias, magazines, journals and books with quotations.
What it says about you:
You are very informative and up to date. You're working on living in the here and now, not the past. You go through a lot of changes. When you make a decision you can be very sure of yourself, maybe even stubborn, but your friends appreciate your honesty and resolve.
happy day,
Wren
PS---I could not get the pretty border and stuff to show up, with either code they gave. Rest assured it was presented in a lovely shade of purple.

790 Recreational & performing arts
Class:
700 Arts & Recreation
Contains:
Architecture, drawing, painting, music, sports.
What it says about you:
You're creative and fun, and you're good at motivating the people around you. You're attracted to things that are visually interesting. Other people might not always understand your taste or style, but it's yours.
Sidenote: I am so not any of these things. Creative? Please. Motivational? I can barely motivate myself to get out of bed in the morning.

I was interested to see how it would be different using my maiden and married names. And I didn't go into this putting much stock in the results of the name... after all, somebody else gave it to you, so really it should say more about THEM than you.
Maiden name
Class: 100 Philosophy & Psychology
Contains:
Books on metaphysics, logic, ethics and philosophy.
What it says about you:
You're a careful thinker, but your life can be complicated and hard for others to understand at times. You try to explain things and strive to express yourself.
Married name
Class: 200 Religion
Contains:
The Bible and other religious texts, books about the general philosophy and theory of religion.
What it says about you:
You don't mind thinking about the unknown or other very big ideas. You will never feel like your work is finished. The 200-series is dominated by Christian topics, so you may feel like you're constantly surrounded by Christians.
Birthdate
(which I was inclined to think would be more accurate and
voila
! It was!)
Class: 700 Arts & Recreation
Contains:
Architecture, drawing, painting, music, sports.
What it says about you:
You're creative and fun, and you're good at motivating the people around you. You're attracted to things that are visually interesting. Other people might not always understand your taste or style, but it's yours.
Overall, not too bad, although neither of the name results are anything like my parents who came up with the name in the first place. And I don't feel surrounded by Christians. Unless they're invisible... and watching me... hmm...
Where's the library section for books on paranoia???

I took Carynne's suggestion and tried this with both current (married) name and birth name. Both results are language oriented, so I guess I cannot complain. Language is history and that suits me.
Pity that even the BB code does not seem to work here.

Whoops I missed part of mine. For my maiden name, the specific area turned out to be
114 Space
, which is really funny because my dad works for NASA.
I don't see exactly how space works into the Philosophy section though! (Wren? You're the library sciences person...)

I think the name did me in. If that last statment were true I think I'd have to jump off of something very high.
