If any of you like strategy and or simulation type games, there is a small developer out there called Stardock Games that has produced some fantastic games.  Games such as Galactic Civilizations, Sins of a Solar Empire, Space Rangers 2 and a lot more.  They are excellent games and right now they are offering them at a DEEP discount.  Some are as low as $3.99 with the majority being available for $9.99.

So if you're a fan of strategy games and such check out Stardock.com.  It's through support of smaller publishers such as these that our favorite pasttime will continue to grow beyond the 'safe bet' games that the big software houses tend to stick to.

I would agree 100%  I have lost many hours of my life to the first two titles you mention.  SoaSE is a fantastic game.

Space Rangers 1 and 2 are also addictive. with so many minigames it's hard to pinpoint the genre, but it close to strategy version of Elite.
