Most folks seem to understand that we are not EQII Flames.
They don't have the cool comics
But on the sick thing and staying home... I really wish I could stay home every time I feel like crud but.. only so many 'sick' days and 'vacation' days are allotted each year
That and I am in a testing department of 3 people with.. umm.. last week we had new firmware for 5 product lines (all but one line with 5 or more products and that one odd one only has 4 products) and 1 software line for 4 of those product lines and 1 more brand new software application they want to work with all 6 product lines but we still haven't even started testing . All these which the PM wanted to release by end of day Friday, two of which we didn't even receive the build until Friday and none of which are simple products.
Both my lead and I came in sick today because we had to attend status meetings, one weekly and one as the final determination on the release of one of the 5 lines we were testing last week since we had been trying to push back on its readiness (for a beta) and they were trying to push to release it anyway. She and I are both not going in tomorrow. We both were trying to stay far away from everyone today. I brought work home with me, I'm not sure if she did.
I'd rather work sick from home than in the office sick any day.. if I can.
(oh and illness had nothing to do with me getting off my bum to donate.. I happened to be using the site to test the Internet connectivity of one of the devices under test *laugh*)
