Ha, rather true about being crazy for the cats, though I couldn't help myself when I took them in! (They're all strays, and all found on the street when they were but wee starving kittens. Not at the same time, of course--three different times in three years.)
I don't doubt that I will definitely start becoming some sort of crazy collector in the game, what with the medals/trophies/whatever else they say we can collect. I can see myself writing a post about how to best a mini-game in order to create a particular item, or making a list of what stuff drops where, or what I can do to get that Awesome Item of Cuteness.
In terms of the chat filter, I think they'll probably have something like what Wizard101 uses, though I hope that for those of us who are older, we will be able to communicate better. And I hope there will be more social tools available, in the sense of (say) guilds or whatnot. It was a bit of a pain doing things with other people in W101.
And Brasse, you're absolutely right that the $5 a month is worthwhile, especially if the game delivers half of the features it promises. Plus, it looks so pretty, and colorful. I have to admit that I've rolled my eyes when I read comments on various blogs/forums where some people say things like, "If you're over the age of 8 and want to try Free Realms, there's something wrong with you" or the more crude insults. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose, but I'm glad that I still have enough of my inner child left that I am able to enjoy cute things without shame.
