Brasse - part of your financial problem is that you aren't driving much traffic to your website.  Social media can help, if you do it right.  Here is a place you can get an excellent (I have read it) free 180 page guide to using Twitter as a way to increase visibility for you and your website. http://twitterhandbook.com/
CoachDeb is funny & very expert at this.  Hope it helps.

I've seen her twitter after too much wine. Oh yeah, she also has twittered when I have gotten up her nose for any number of reasons. Do those count? Tongue

happy day,

I said don't ask no stupid questions, and I won't send you away. If you want to talk fishin', well I guess that'll be okay.

Social media is an interesting phenomenon.... but I can't even get people to hit the DIGG button on the main page of the comics, as easy as that is to do.

In my experience, Twitter belongs to the realm of the self-centered and egotistical. I just can't bring myself to do it. I signed up for it a long while back, but it makes me uncomfortable and I think it is a huge waste of our already limited time. I do occasionally link my comics in my Facebook status...
So I expect I'll remain a marginally successful site, because in spite of the namesake, I haven't the brazen ability to self-promote, and cannot afford to hire someone to do it for me.

The best I can manage is to stick a button on the main page that people can press if they want to... and I don't blame them for not doing so.
I suck, I know. Ask Wren all about how poor I am at self-promotion.

Brasse, I totally understand - that is exactly what I thought about Twitter - a playground for self absorbed twits who think the world is facinated to know they are having a latte at Starbucks!  Then I finally looked into it and discovered that yeah, there are people like that, BUT I also was completely clueless about how lots of people are using it correctly.  The idea is to contribute usefull stuff & build a good reputation.  People will then come to you voluntarily because they value your contributions.

Anyway - read the free book and see if you don't change your mind!
