hehe,

I have been quiet for a while again. Smiley

I am still not MMO'ing, well not till STO pops. Only game that held some interest for longevity some time back I found was EVE, but I did not wish to spend two years getting deep too into the game while I waited. So I dabbled here and there, played quite a few Consoles and generally keep an eye on the MMO circuit.

Currently I found the X-Series, bah! can't believe I missed these all these years. O.o

Anyhow, to cut a long to a short. I tried had a dabble in X3:Reunion via http://game.metaboli.co.uk/ game on demand and found it a realy great game. Its "EVE" Offline is the nearest I can get to describing it.

I got a cheap copy for around £3.00 and thought I would give it a proper Whirl with my own copy and enjoyed it. So I sent for the Latest version X3:Terran Conflict, as its gained some small improvements in the Graphic, ship models and UI, and there are more corporate factions in the fact that there are named companies rather than just the racial monopoly's.

So that should arrive tomorrow and I can again lose a large chunk of my life to a game, whilst the developers continue to polish their next big things. (I do hope STO lives up, I really do, I have become sooooo jaded with MMO's of late. Smiley   )

Some good vids on Youtube of the X series, and there was a player created video competition that produced some very good work. http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=218778

hehe, be nice when I can contribute to some MMo news again, in terms of playing them Smiley but for now a Universe awaits a wannabee Universal Trader. :p

I'm still slaughterin' stunties in WAR.  Having some fun until - like you - STO drops.  If it ever does.  Still keeping an eye on Stargate also.

Could never get into the SG TV series, was too formulamatic and soap opera'ish for my taste. I think ST were the only ones to carry that style off with any lasting success. Maybe the MMO though can offer some good gameplay, which in essence was a great concept (The whole SG thing that is.).
