CSI: Norrath
Brasse -- 2007-11-15 17:18:42
I kid you not, the Forge had a wicked kick and a mean streak a mile wide, and the deaths were tracked.
The Forge, however, was not smart. It was large, obvious and never covered its tracks.
All along though, lurking all over Norrath was a killer so much more deadly, so much smarter, that it still hasn't been caught.
The glowy.
It has many aliases as it first introduces itself to our vision... a sparkly, a shiny... many names, but the effect is always the same. A siren song, a lure to imminent destruction.
The glowy is clever enough to have others do its dirty work for it. It carefully positions itself along the path of the biggest Drolvarg in the neighborhood, or within the sight of a veritable army of blood-drenched iksar.
Thus it will continue to kill players in EverQuest II for years to come... occasionally allowing parts of the whole to be captured, collected, all to feed the addiction of the characters whose eyes light up at the mere hint of this minute killer.
You have been warned.
For those of you still foolhardy enough to hunt the vicious beasts (and insist on competing with us), Wren and I have catalogued most of the glowies in Kunark (or at least we think we have). Check out our printable Kunark Collections checklist.

ps. No, I don't know why the Caruso character spouts the crap he does on CSI: Miami. Can't stand him, but I loved the send up Jim Carrey did of the character on the Late Show.
