Be Be Careful What You Wish For

Brasse -- 2007-12-18 22:13:22

These days, a LOT of family members play EQII (and other MMOGs) together. Some of my finest memories come from time spent playing with my son in EQ1, back in the day.

I have seen very reluctant spouses try the game and become immersed in this amazing virtual world. The game then becomes a form of shared entertainment, rather than a source of contention. Instead of zoning out in front of the TV, couples can zone together into new adventures.

Ok, ok, that's a little maudlin even for me, but I have to admit, it is really cool to see family members and partners playing together. It has certainly helped the genre improve in maturity and FUN.

So how to go about getting someone you know into the game?

THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING.

SoE has given us three EverQuest II Rise of Kunark Digital Download keys to give away. Perfect for the cheap-arsed sod you are at Christmas time, aye?

EQII RoK contains the original game plus ALL of the expansions. That's right, they can go everywhere you can go!

All you have to do is write us and tell us who you'd like to start playing EQII and why.

It could be your significant other (so much for that diamond necklace, hey?), your sibling, parent, child, neighbor or that weird guy at your office that dresses up like he was heading to a Ren Faire every day. Anyone who does not yet have EQII.

Send your entries to brasse@thebrasse.com.
Deadline, 12:00 noon PST on December 24, 2007.
That way you have time to make a homemade card with your best wishes when you give the RoK key over on Christmas Day!

(yes, a subscription fee does apply after the standard 30 day free period, but by then they will be completely addicted... I mean happily playing, and if you break it down by the hour, it is really affordable play value!)
