Talk to any Ranger who has played EQII since launch, and they will tell you... they used to OWN the game.

Back when the proc rate on combat arts was based on the weapon delay, Rangers RULED. Their bows were very, very high delay and that caused all their ranged combat arts (and poisons) to proc very frequently. For reasons that I don't quite get, their melee weapons would also proc based on the bow delay.*

Triple atttack could fire off like TWELVE attacks when the Ranged Expertise AA line was used as well.

They were broken.

GLORIOUSLY broken.

And they could solo just about anything.

Then came Kingdom of Sky, and with that release, Rangers were broken in the opposite direction. They became floppy wet noodle gimps and nobody wanted them. Since then, they all talk about the glory days, even though most of them have switched to Assassins.

Last Live Update finally saw the arrow levels get fixed, but that just brought Rangers back to 'adequate'. They will never kick butt again.

Anyway, I had to do this comic to honor Rangers and/or just to show the WoW people that they haven't cornered the market on Chuck Norris.

It won't happen again.
