I sure as heck wasn't ready for it when I first found out I was pregnant. I could duplicate the facial expressions I went through in rapid succession, and it would probably be pretty comical to observe.

I felt echoes of that just a day or two ago when my son announced that he and his fiance were expecting. It caught them by surprise as well; I guess the baby simply decided that they wanted to attend the long-planned wedding.

It will be about 7 months before I need to go out and buy matronly clothes, sensible shoes and thermal stockings, but man... I suddenly felt OLD.

I can hardly wait for life to catch up to me.
If all goes well, it will be pink and wriggly and have a touch of Dwarf in it!
