I painted a giant dragon on the windows of my 5th grade class when I was 10 years old. It covered the length of the room, which seemed HUGE when you're that age. For many years after that I was called The Dragon Lady.
I wasn't allowed to have beer then, either.

Doesn't beer make it easier for Dwarves to create?

Which dragon is Jesse and which is Jen? ;)

I'd say that whichever dragon is the butt-kicker would be Jen. It goes with the name. And she probably would have given the other dragon a Mojito first, to soften it up. ;-)

I'll be down in Marrietta next week. I will have to stop by and take a look at your handiwork.

We made Orksnot this past weekend instead of mojitos, but next time I make them I will be sure to think about sharing with my new dragon friends.
Atherin, you'd best poke us while you are down here!

Artistic Direction

I am surrounded by three large canvases, an arsenal of paint and battery of brushes. I have four days to create a three-piece mural. FOUR DAYS.
That means the unthinkable: NO BEER.
Jen and Jesse wanted a mural of dragons in their bedroom, but the trouble with murals is that you can't take them with you, unless you take a chainsaw to the wall and leave the new homeowner with a good view of the insulation and wiring.
The illustration in the background of today's comic is the actual rough sketch for this piece. It was a lot of fun to come up with something that they liked, and I sincerely doubt that Jesse (pictured in his Ninja guise) will ask for such a drastic change. I am sure he'd like to go on living.
Anyway, must get back to it!

ps. I am pretty sure that I am going to violate the no beer rule at some point, but there is nothing worse than painting with a hangover. Decisions, decisions.
