I have an unfinished Tron costume that's begging for work. Ah, the memories!

I still need to start on the dying and sewing of mine... and the buying the cloth... And then I had a medical scare this week which, if it had been as bad as the doc thought on looking at the initial tests, could have keboshed Fan Faire completely!
Brasse, I am going to find you and drink a toast to procrastinators everywhere :) Hopefully it will be when we're both in the new costumes *laugh*

FanFaire: Time Ain't On My Side

And I had planned to make a new set of armor this year. Semi-sorta-Japanese-Samurai-inspired. Hey, I've still got two weeks, right? Right!
Oh so wrong.
I hadn't even managed to get my leatherworking tools out. Ok, so I have to go spelunking for the tools; they always disappear into odd locations right after I finish using them, but that should only take two days...
And then I got a call. A contract job that is due in a week. I need the money, I can't say no. Besides, it's an interesting project, for Beckett Media.
I can just see the sad little piles of leather, tiny plating and lacing on the dining room table - I mean, my armory. There they will sit until I finish my gainful employment stuff. I do have to pretend I am a grownup every now and then.
Luckily, I still have the backup armor, just in case, and Griff has already donated his fur for my beard. Brakk is going to help me make my Mystic Epic Weapon. Hmmm... maybe, just maybe I can pull it off.
After all, sleep is fer Pansy Elfinks.

ps. Only one week left to register online for the SOE FanFaire. It is a great event, worth every cent of the $89 all-access pass and then some. This year, it's being held at Bally's in Las Vegas, the first time I've ever paid UNDER $100/night for lodgings at FanFaire. This leaves more money for beer!
pps. The formula Brakk speaks here is actually the spam-filtering calculation that SOE uses, as presented by Nandor Szots at the LOGIN Conference, hehe.
