I actually really like my little shoebox, my landlord and his old dog, Max. I haven't had any problems at all once the water thing was resolved. It all just happened in the same hectic few days after I arrived. The shoebox is very inexpensive (for SoCal), interesting, and I ain't moving. =P
Besides, if I get TOO comfortable, I will not be properly motivated to save up the downpayment for a house at the end of the year!

Your power situation reminds me of one of my favorite classic comedy shows, Green Acres. The generator could only take a certain load, so Oliver assigned a number to each appliance. Lisa could only have in plugs totaling 9 at any time without blowing a fuse.

Any other geezers here grow up on that show?

While I don't consider myself a 'geezer' quite yet, I used to watch Green Acres re-runs. Always wanted to climb up a pole to use the phone. ;)

I'm a geezer and I remember growing up with Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, McHale's Navy, Gilligan's Island and who else remembers F-Troop!

I'm only a mid-range geeze. I know those from Nick-at-nite tho.

I remember that lot, too. They were in syndication, though, when I watched them... in Southern California *laugh*. (but it was slightly before cable and then right after cable got a toe hold) Trippin' down that memory lane... remember when there was no MTV?

Remember thinking a cellphone would be an incredible inconvenience when you want to be out and on your own time?
