Maneuver this!

All well and good, aside from the ARCANE part, hehe.
EverQuest II has the Heroic Opportunities system, while Lord of the Rings Online offers Fellowship Maneuvers. Arguably, EQII's wins just because the acronym "HO" has so many more comedic possibilities than "FM", but let's have a look at it nonetheless.
I admit that I have been one of those people who thinks "Oh my god, there is that stupid color wheel thingy... must pretend that I didn't see it."
For one thing, the wheel only shows up when you are fighting a Signature or Elite creature, and chances are you are somewhat distracted just trying to stay in position and alive... but the system also seemed so darn complicated.
Luckily.... it's not! Or at least, not nearly as bad as it looks.
I set out to develop a short guide that made sense to me, meaning it should be usable by anyone. The Fellowship Maneuvers Guide is now ready, and I am now working on a convenient, printable FM color chart that can be printed out and kept on the desk for easy reference.
I can hardly wait for the ludicrously complex mini-combat game the next MMOG has in store for us.
There really is not enough beer to cope.
