My memory may be faulty, but I think that the first time I grouped with Maedun (aka Quinatan, aka Jesse Allen) in EverQuest, he went "exploring" ahead of the party in Najena - fell into a deep pit and it took us an hour to go get him.

I've since lost count of all the dumb-assed things he's done as the InnMates moved from game to game. I remember a night in Charasis when he was our "harm touch gimp" without intending to be. What other doofus would walk right into a room full of Shadowknight mobs?

Right after a tough fight, when we're all dressing our wounds, who is the guy without disarm trap skill who opens the chest and releases a horrific disease that kills us all off? Yah. That's him.

His defense, every time - "I wanted to see what would happen."

If I had anything useful to give away as a prize, I'd hold an "I remember the time that he...." contest, hehe. I bet every guild out there could do the same for their very own version of Maedun!

At any rate, Maedun is a loyal, long-term guildmate, a good friend, and a lot of fun. Heck, he brought Tyraenna into the InnMates and that alone buys him lots of faction. Lucky sod also convinced her to marry him last autumn, so he's got to be a good guy.

Happy birthday, and please, stay away from big red buttons and stuff... at least till tomorrow!
