Aegis of Conan

Austin Game Developer's Conference was looking pretty tame... until Ten Ton's Cody Bye and I ran into Jorgen Tharaldsen the day after the big party night.
Jorgen is the Product Manager for FunCom, the Norwegian company that brought us Anarchy Online, Longest Journey, Dreamfall and is presently working on Age of Conan.
Looking just a little dragged out, he was nursing a beer, and reminiscing about the previous evening.
For some reason, EVERYONE who has an industry party holds it on Thursday night. That means you have to walk all over downtown Austin to attend them all in turn.
Yeah, yeah, I know... it IS a lot of work!
~grins~
I'd seen Jorgen at a few of the venues, but when a responsible Dwarf like myself goes home for the evening, the crazy Scandinavians always keep going.
On the eternal quest for a good beer, it seems that Jorgen found himself riding in a car around town, and was eventually dumped out in front of a building that he assumed must be a bar. Only there was no sign on the outside. Odd.
When he entered, he noticed immediately that there were a whole lot of half-dressed girls around. He'd been delivered to a place of ill repute, a bordello, a.. well, you get the picture!
Turns out that the manager of the establishment was in fact a big fan of the game.
If the news reported at MMORPG.com is true, players will be able to gain a buff from having sex in game. Yeah. I know.
The manager is probably already trying to figure out how to expand his subscriber base while expanding FunCom's subscriber base!
I leave it to you all to comment further.
I bet you're all busy signing up for beta - again!

ps. In the last panel, please imagine "oh crap" replaced by the appropriate Norwegian term. In fact, if you know an appropriate Norwegian phrase, let me know and I'll edit it in! ;-)#
