I am glad they finally, at long last, late as ever and after many of us have already made our summer plans... announced it.

I am peeved that it lands on the exact same dates as GenCon. I mean seriously. GENCON.

People tend to put me in the Fanboi category where SOE is concerned (and particularly when dealing with EQII), but the truth is, they usually provide stuff I like. What's there not to Fan... boi... about?

But for years, I have been complaining about FanFaire, that it is never announced far enough in advance. I understand that they are hard to organize, but come on. You know what I want? I want to hear next year's dates at the end of this year's FanFaire.

Yes, it's a hell of a lot of work. I know that the two event coordinators handle all of SOE's events, not just FanFaire. I know that lawyers suck and it takes an age to negiotiate a contract.

So do it a year in advance. Forget about moving it around the country. The screams will die down eventually.

Vegas is always the most popular spot, because it is central. No, not geographically, you yutz, that would be somewhere in freaking KANSAS, Toto. Vegas has a beelion affordable flights at convenient times, and has huge hotels, and a ton of stuff to do on the side, even if, like me, you don't like gambling and topless shows.

So my two requests:
- Arrange them a year in advance
- Have it in Vegas

Make it so.

And for heaven's sake, don't put it on the same weekend as freaking GENCON.

Damnit, now I'm going to miss GenCon... cause frankly, FanFaire is more fun.
