EQ and EQII Living Legacy - Git yers while it's hot!
Brasse -- 2008-06-02 12:13:49
SOE EQ and EQII Living Legacy Program
DO YA WANT SOME O' THIS? Get it fer FREE!
(note: Brasse not included, unless you play on Crushbone server and offer free beer)
This is an unusual move by Sony Online Entertainment, and arguably one of the most appealing and generous buyback programs ever. It encourages players who have been thinking about coming back, but hesitated because they did not want to pay for the 'catch-up' expansion costs, or those who have dabbled in the trial version but were not sure about paying for a retail copy.
BRASSE'S "IN A SHOTGLASS" VERSION:
This is a great invitation for all former players of EQ and EQII to return to the game at NO cost, and for a very long trial period.
EVERQUEST - From today's date until July 25:
- Inactive EQ players and trial accounts who sign up get Secrets of Faydwer expansion*, FREE.
- They also get an in-game bundle of equipment to help them get a leg-up.
- If they sign up for a monthly subscription again during the promotion period, they get to keep all the new content, FREE.
EVERQUEST II - From today's date until July 31:
- Inactive EQII players and trial accounts who sign up get the Rise of Kunark expansion*, FREE. These folks also get a bunch of in-game equipment to get them into the flow.
- If they sign up for a monthly subscription again during the promotion period, they get to keep all the new content, FREE.
- This means that they can experience all the grand new content without having to purchase the expansion packs.
*Note that the expansion listed contains ALL previous expansions, so it brings you completely up to date, no matter how long ago you last played the game.
There is a lot more detail at the official Living Legacy site, including discounts, contest listings, additional freebies, recruitment rewards, etc.
By the way, this is for inactive members who left in good standing. So no, mister goldsella, you and your 35 accounts are not eligible to participate. This is not the game you're looking for.
