Old Forest map - definitely does not spoil the zone.

Some zones I think are reduced in stature once you see them fully mapped out, but I think the Brasse's Old Forest map really adds to it.

I probably would never have found some of the places noted were it not for us mapping the zone. There are a few awesome spots that are tucked away, such as the Shade Pool or Old Oak's Grave. The spiders down south could use some loot enhancement to encourage people to use that part of the zone, but otherwise this zone is really spot on.

I really appreciate the dramatic use of fog and music to set the mood. Even with a great map in hand, I still get myself lost in it. The trees are so thick you can barely see in many places, and it is easy to get turned around.

Turbine has made some comments about changing the zone to make Tom Bombadil's place harder to find and some other touchups, and I am very curious what those changes will bring to the zone. Hopefully it won't mean we have to start over on that map, there is a LOT of our character's blood that went into mapping that thing. I lost count of how many times we were defeated.

Darn those level 18 Elite trees that look just like all the other trees. EVIL zone. Have fun!

(Thanks to Kwee and Gadila for coming along on some of our certain death runs!)
