Vigilance Committee, The

General Quest

You'll find Mat outside of The Golden Perch Inn. One of the members (Violet) of a peace-keeping group called The Vigilance Committee has gone missing, and Mat is concerned. He wants you to check up on her. He suggests asking Farmer Maggot.

STEPS:

1) Talk to Farmer Maggot. Mat says:

"His farm, Bamfurlong, is south down the river road, in the Marish."

From Stock, follow the road south, basically until it ends. It will end at a small stone pillar. From here, turn west, and follow that road a short distance to the farm. Farmer Maggot is in the middle of his farm, next to his dogs and Hammy Maggot (34.3s, 64.4w). The farmer has seen Violet, and warned her of nearby brigands. He suggests you also speak with his son Hammy.

2) After you speak with the tree and select "Finish Now", you get XP and you will now be able to take the next quest, Violet in Peril.
