General QuestGailthin wants you to investigate the dwarven encampment to the north of Gondamon to see if you can find Avorthal.
STEPS:
1) Find Avorthal. From Gondamon, take the road that leads north, toward the Low-Lands. The dwarven encampments are in the north of this area, nestled in some mountains. You know you're close when you reach the Ringdale area. Down a hill, hiding in some bushes, is where you will find Aglarchen (17.6s, 96w). Note there are several ways to get to Aglarchen, with the main difference being how many mobs you will fight. Aglarchen is a friend of Avorthal, and he was was unable to free Avorthal. When you select "continue quest", be prepared for some fighting!
2) Defend Aglarchen. You will need to fight three waves with two Dourhand dwarves each (levels 10-11). Afterwards, Aglarchen thanks you and leaves.
3) Talk to Gailthin.
4) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, Gailthin's Shoulder Guards, Gailthin's Gloves or Gailthin's Bracelet, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Reluctant Allies.
