Sundered Shield, The

General Quest

Askell's brother, Gellir, wanted to try and reason with the Dourhands, so he and some friends set off for the large Dourhand encampment. Gellir never returned, and Askell would like you to find him or determine if he died. Gellir will be wearing a 'gleaming shield'.

STEPS:

1) Seek Gellir Goldentongue or any sign of his passing. Askell says he went to the

"…great Dourhand encampment north of Gondamon. I think he went to the westernmost of the camps, the larger one."

The dwarven encampments are in the north of this area, nestled in some mountains. You know you're close when you reach the Ringdale area. The 'sundered shield' is near the gate that leads to Ringdale; double-click to pick it up (18s 96w). It is on a fast respawn timer.

2) Bring Gellir's shield to Askell.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Vow of Vengeance.
