Call of Precious Things Part I, The

Crafting: Jeweller Quest

When you can no longer gain experience for Jewelcrafting in Tier I, don't panic! It just means that you must seek advice from your local Novice Jeweller. They are located in many places in Arda, particularly in major towns such as Bree, Thorin's Hall, Celondim and Michel Delving.

You will soon see that the Novice Jeweller that you choose to patronize has a ring symbol above their head. Speak to them and learn that your advancing skill has been marked, and that it is time for you to seek out a master of the craft.

1. Talk to Kobbi Stonestar

Kobbi can be found in the Lone Lands, at the Forsaken Inn. Fortunately this is a safe (if long) trip for anyone to make, and even a very young character will encounter few problems if they stick to the main road.

If you are not already near Bree, go to the stable master in any starting area (Michel Delving, Celondim or Thorin's Gate) and obtain a ride to West Bree for a small fee of 1 silver.

Head to the South Gate of Bree, and prepare for a run. You will take the road south and east. The only difficulties a very young traveller might face is when passing through the heart of Chetwood South - the road is somewhat indistinct here, and a number of bears and boars might prove aggressive. Once out of the woods, so to speak, your path is clear past the Midgewater Marshes and on to the Lone Lands.

While the Lone Lands themselves are very dangerous to those under level 15, the road will lead you directly to the Forsaken Inn. Head inside, and you will find Kobbi Stonestar having an ale at a table near the roaring fireplace.

He greets you and offers encouragement on your continued progress in the profession... and asks you to come see him again later.

Congratulations, you may now progress in Jewelcrafting again!
