Gisli's Favorite

General Quest

Look for Ormr just south of Thorin's Gate, along the road to the south. Ormr is a doting father, and is worried about his son Gisli, who has just received his first post, at Noglund.

He'd like to send Gisli his favorite meal, but is lacking the most important ingredient: Cave-claw legs. This is where you come in, of course!

1. Collect Cave-claw legs (8)

Well, any Dwarf knows that Cave-claws are not hard to find. Pick a cavern or mining tunnel anywhere and you're bound to find some. The easiest pickings to my mind are in:
- The Rockbelly Pit (15.1s, 103.6w); go north to Frerin's Court, then and head east till you find the path that leads southeast to the Elven retreat of Edhelion. Follow that trail up the hill to the top, then turn west at Winterheights. Rockbelly Pit is located in a cleft in the rocks due west.
- Mirkstone Tunnels ( 14.1s, 104.9w); head north to Frerin's Court, then north-west to the Axe-head path. Follow that trail up to the Mirkstone tunnels. They used to be infested with Goblins, but these days, just provide good hunting for cave-claws.

Bink, plink, chink, you should be done quickly.

2. Return cave-claw legs to Ormr

Ormr quickly adds the legs to his stew, and then hands you the pot to take to his son, Gisli.

3. Bring Gisli the meal prepared by his father

Gisli can be found at Noglund, south and east of Thorin's Gate. Take the main road south and continue on until you see a small outpost to your left (east)... Gisli is right at the entrance, at 19.31, 100.6w.
He is a little embarrassed that his father thinks he is still young and unable to look after himself, but he accepts the stew, and offers you an axe and coin as a reward for your troubles.
