Chapter 09: Lilies for the River-daughter

Epic - Book I: Stirrings in the Dark

NOTE: Tom wanders, and may be found inside his house, standing outside it, or wandering around outside.

Tom makes you an offer; he'll find "sour crows" for you, if you gather lilies for him.

STEPS:

1) Collect 4 large lilies. Tom says:

"I saw some along the river, just a hop and a jump away. Just follow along until, ring a ding dillo, you find Old Man Willow! You watch that old Grey Willow-man. He's a mighty singer. He'll sing you down to sleep and drown you, if you don't be careful."

From Tom's house, head down the path away from his house, and then head south, downhill, to the river. It will not take long before you can see the large lilies in the water. There are a number of them in the water, very close to Old Man Willow, a tree that puts nasty effects on you if you are in range (the tree drained my power completely while I was gathering them). Double-click them to pick them up; you should not have to fight any mobs (32.8s, 58.2w).

2) Bring the lilies to Tom Bombadil.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Chapter 10: Into the Barrow-downs.
