Hunter's Path, The

Class: Hunter Quest

NOTE: Your class quest is available upon reaching level 15, which you can get from any class trainer. I happened to be in Michel Delving buying skills when the quest was offered to me.

Bolo feels you have made fine progress as a Hunter, but still have much to learn. He tells you who to seek out to gain more knowledge.

STEPS:

1) Talk to Gytha Lainey. Bolo says:

"Look for Gytha Lainey at Asdo's Camp on the Great East Road, between Bree and Buckland."

Asdo's Camp lies on either side of the road, and you cannot miss it if you are traveling on the Great East Road. It is a bit southwest of the Southern Bree-fields. You'll find Gytha standing next to a shed (29.3s, 56.8w). Gytha doubts that you should become a Hunter. To prove your worth to her, you'll need to follow her into the Old Forest to defeat a named wolf, Yellowfang. Select "Continue Quest" and she will explain to you that the Old Forest is a confusing place, and "your combat ability, as well as your skill at tracking, will be tested." NOTE: This is a solo quest and cannot be completed with a fellowship. After you select "Travel Now", you will zone into an instance and your quest will update.

2) Defeat Yellowfang. You'll need to use your tracking to find Yellowfang. I found him a very short distance south of where you start (31.7s, 57.3w).

3) Talk to Gytha Lainey, whose quest ring will probably show up on your radar (31.5s 57.4w). She is surprised you vanquished Yellowfang. Select "Finish Now" to advance your quest.

4) Talk to Gytha Lainey. Once you are done, select "Travel Now" to zone back to Adso's Camp.

5) Talk to Gytha Lainey. She is impressed enough with your skills to complete your quest.

6) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and Avornhar, 3 Celebrant Salves, and Fast Draw. Fast Draw is a skill upgrade:

"You are able to release your Barbed Arrow and Swift Arrow more quickly. Line Bonus: Barbed Arrow induction time reduced 0.1s. Line Bonus: Swift Bow induction time reduced 0.2s."
