Forgetful Dwarf, The

General Quest

You will find Oddvarr standing in front of several haystacks and a piece of ruined wall, fairly in the middle of the Northern Bree-fields and the Eastern Bree-fields. If you take the long road that heads north from Bree, turn to the east once it intersects the Northern Bree-fields. Keep heading east, and you'll find Oddvarr.

Oddvarr has lost his pack, and wants you to help him look for it so that he may continue on his "very important business."

STEPS:

1) Search the ruins for Oddvarr's pack.Oddvarr says:

"You start looking over yonder north, and I'll search this area and to the south. If you find anything, meet me back here!"

Head north from Oddvarr and you will soon see some empty farm fields surrounded by a fence, with a ruined dais. Go to the ruined dais (several columns here), and you see a message: "you see a pack". Double-click Oddvarr's Provisions to pick them up (22.1s, 51.2w). Note that you will need to fight two level 14 Orcs that are apparently waiting for you to try and grab Oddvarr's pack. Further, if you have more than one person in your party, be prepared to wait a bit for the pack to respawn. We found that if you kill the Orcs first, and then take a pack, you'll need to kill another wave of Orcs before the pack comes back.

2) Return Oddvarr's provisions.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Stolen Notes.
