Blade for a Life, A

General Quest

The brigand captain Blake accused Kenton of Nate's death, and took Kenton's daughter Maribell. He wants to ransom her for a sword, and you are just the hero to save her.

NOTE: Your character's level will determine how much help you need to bring to this quest. If you are level 12-14, then you should bring close to a full group. If you are higher level, you'll need fewer friends along.

STEPS:

1) Talk to Lofar Ironbrand.

2) Find Maribell Thistleway.

"Blake's brigand camp is in the Bree-fields, northwest of Bree-town."

Leave Bree from the West Gate and then head northwest, towards the Southern Bree-fields (and the little patch of trees on your map that is just north of them). The camp you want is called the Brigand's Watch, and it is at the northern tip of the Southern Bree-fields (27.1s, 56.8w). There are actually two entrances to this camp, the location given is for the western entrance. Once you are inside the camp, bear left (north), and you will find a small alcove where Maribell is being held prisoner (26.9s, 56.3w). After you speak with her and select "Continue Quest", your quest will automatically update and you will need to ensure Maribell's safety.

3) Protect Maribell Thistleway. Two level 13 brigands will immediately attack you—make sure Maribell lives! After you kill them, Blake, a level 14 Signature mob, will attack, along with two regular brigands. Once you're done with them, Maribell will lead the way out of the camp, where you'll need to fight any brigands that have respawned. Once you reach the exit, Maribell will thank you and your quest will update.

4) Talk to Kenton Thistleway.

5) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and either Maribell's Defender, Talloch, or Thistleway's Trousers.
