Broken Alliance

General Quest

Saeradan tells you:

"I learned that Sharkey's Men have arranged a meeting with the captain in charge of the Orcs from the North Downs."

Your job will be to find the cave they are due to meet at, and kill the leaders of both groups before they come to any agreement.

NOTE: I recommend a full group of level appropriate (14-20) players for this quest, including a healer. Your mileage may vary. I have tried it with half a group, and it was a dismal failure. I came back with friends, and here is our final, successful group makeup: Level 24 Minstrel, level 21 and 24 Champions, level 19 Hunter and a level 20 Guardian. It was extremely easy with the two high levels along. Thank you, Wilma and Cashel!


STEPS:



1) Locate the cave. Saeradan says:

"The meeting will take place in a cave not far south of Trestlebridge. I have not learned the precise location, but no doubt the area will be guarded by both brigands and Orcs."

The cave you seek is actually located inside the Cirith Nur Encampment, where you have likely been before in this quest series. It is northwest of Saeradan's Cabin and southwest of Trestlebridge (21.2s, 54.7w). Once within the encampment, you will immediately spot the cave to the west (21.3s, 55.2w).

2) Enter the cave. The quest changes then to: Instance: Broken Alliance.



3) Defeat the Tarkrip Chieftain. Defeat 8 brigands at the Brigand Cave. Once within, head to the left, and kill brigands as you go. You will see some stairs to the left (east), take those, and at the back end of that room you will find the Chieftain (level 16 Elite, 1732 morale), along with a Violent Tarkrip (level 15 Elite, 1537 morale), Tarkrip Scrapper (Elite mob), and a couple of regular brigands. Once they are disposed of, take the door to zone back out to the Cirith Nur Encampment.

4) Talk to Saeradan.

5) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, Turthann, and either Saerdan's Greataxe, Gollang, Saeradan's Trousers or Saerdan's Shoulder Pads.
