Dwalin's Bad Day

Epic - Prologue Dwarven Quest

After completing "Beyond the Cave-in", Guard Captain Unnarr (located in front of the enormous statue in Thorin's Hall) asks you to alert Dwalin, head of the Thorin's Hall Dwarves.

1. Show Dourhand sword-hilt to Dwalin.

Dwalin sits uneasily upon the great throne in Thorin's Hall, at the far north end of the cavernous Dwarven citadel. See the map if needed.

"Coming from anyone else, Brasse, I would not believe these grim tidings, but you have always proven an honorable Dwarf.

I too thought the Dourhands were gone from Thorin's Halls for good, but it seems they still had designs on our gold. We will teach them a hard lesson, Brasse, and they will rue the day they sneaked back into Thorin's Halls like the brigands they are!

We will discover where they have taken the stolen gold, Brasse, and then we will deal with them. I swear this by Durin's Beard!"

You get 42c and experience just for listening gravely and nodding at the appropriate intervals. I suspect you'd get it if you did headstands and picked your nose as well, but hey... Dwalin has more work for you, so time to pay attention to the next quest, "The Wisdom of the Thrushes".
