Epic - Prologue Elven QuestLanglas feels you are ready to defeat the goblin leader Skorgrim. When you have some friends and are ready to take him on, let Langlas know.
STEPS:
1) Talk to Langlas and defeat Skorgrim. After you speak with Langlas, select "Travel Now."
2) Talk to Avorthal. After you speak with him, you will need to defend him.
3) Defend Avorthal. You will gain help from additional NPC sources, first from Athal, and then a Longbeard-Champion. You will encounter about six rounds of 3-4 level 11-12 goblins each wave. When all this is done, the Elvish NPCs and dwarves congregate and encourage you to rest before the next battle.
4) Talk to Avorthal. After you speak with him, you will need to defend him again.
5) Defend Avorthal. You will fight your way uphill with Avorthal, fighting many more goblins, though fewer to a group this time. Some only come in groups of 1-2. When you are done, your quest will update.
6) Talk to Avorthal. After you speak with him, you will need to defend him again.
7) Defend Avorthal. You will fight some goblins, enter Crookdell, and then head through a gate. From there you will fight more level 10-12 goblins, and then Skrogrim shows up. He says that basically he has more important business to attend to, and sics his minions on you. More goblins come out of the woodwork, be sure to not let Avorthal die. When it is done, your quest will upate.
8) Talk to Avorthal. He feels Ered Luin is safe from Skorgrim for now, and considers the assault you helped him with a success. He will stay behind to help his father with his wounds, while you are to return to Langlas. Select "Finish Now" when you are ready.
9) Talk to Avorthal again and select "Travel Now". You will watch a cinematic sequence before being brought back to Thrasi's Lodge, and Langlas.
10) Talk to Langlas.
11) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, either Smith-Leggar, Threk-Mundar, Victory at Rath-Teraig, Skorgrim's Scourge, or Bane of the Dourhands, and you will now be able to take the next quest, The One Called Strider.
