Gondamon in the Low-lands

Epic - Prologue Dwarven Quest

Rothgar thinks you are a mighty and dependable Dwarf now, and he wants to send you onwards with the information you gleaned about the Dourhands' plotting.

"The Dourhand burglar said that his folk paid the goblins well to steal a prince? I don't know what that means, but it can't be good!"

"Mathi Stouthand became the Chief of Gondamon, the great watch-post of the Low-lands, shortly after the Dourhands were driven from Thorin's Hall. If there is a war brewing, Mathi needs to be warned so he can begin his preparations."

"Follow the road east to Gondamon. There, I expect you'll find Mathi in the upper levels. Travel with great haste, Brasse! I would quicken your feet with a tale of great deeds, but I see that there is no time to spare!"

Thank goodness, for it might take days once Rothgar started in on one of his tales!

1. Talk to Mathi

Take the main road east from Noglond, and after a short while, the large fortress of Gondamon will begin to rise in your sights. Rothgar is correct, Mathi is overseeing events from the uppermost level, on the eastern side, at 20.3s, 96.7w.

There is no reward for this leg of the quest, but it ties you in with the greater events of the region, and well worth partaking in.

Mathi will introduce you to the goings on in "Mutual Dislike". For some reason it's entered as "Epic Prologue - Elven", but we all know that without the Dwarves, they'd never get through it!
