Daring Rescue, A

General Quest

To get to the ruins of Minas Eriol, head southeast from The Forsaken Inn; you will soon find a path to follow. The path curves gently around a mountain, and when you have a choice of going north or east up a hill, head east up the hill. Continue up into the ruins, and cross one of the bridges when you can. You'll find Leofwenna waiting on top of the highest hill in the surrounding area; there is a short path that leads up the hill.

Leofwenna is an Eglain, and she has been trapped in this area after the goblins forced the rest of her people out. She has done the best she can, but she will need your help to get to the safety of the archway to the west. She urges you to bring some friends.

STEPS:

1) Speak with Leofwenna. After you select "Accept", Leofwenna will begin to travel down the hill, and will tell you which way would be the safest route.

2) Safely escort Leofwenna from the ruins. Leofwenna is fairly squishy, and will get smacked upon a number of times, so the quicker you can kill the goblins (level 16-17) and the wargs (level 20), the better. I did this with a level 21 Guardian and 21 Hunter, and she did come close to dying a couple of times, but never did. You'll follow her through a non-straightforward route to the exit. Once you have led her past the archway at the entrance/exit to the ruins, she will tell you:

"If you meet Hunulf Munce, tell him that I am safe."

Then you will get a message that "You have led Leofwenna to safety", and your quest will update.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and either Rescuer's Blade or Rescuer's Hands.
