Chapter 01: The Red Swamp

Epic - Book II: The Red Maid

Radagast tells you how the "land itself is turning against us", in the form of shepherds turning into bog-prowlers. He wants you to help him figure out what is despoiling the land, and he figures the best way to do this is to find out why the shepherds have become corrupted.

NOTE: Once you qualify, you may consider doing the quest Noisome Neighbors concurrently with this quest.

STEPS:

1) Collect 10 bog moss bits from bog-prowler nests. Radagast says:

"Bring me the moss that they use to line their nests. They roam the swamp to the east of here. Remember, I do not wish to harm the shepherds, no matter how confused they appear. They are innocent victims of the corruption and know not the harm they do."

The swamp area, Haragmar, is just east of town, and a bit deeper within the swamp is The Circle of Blood. You will find Bog-Prowler Nests all over this area, here are the locations for some of the ones I found: (31.7s, 27.9w), (31.5s, 27.7w), (31.5s, 27w), (31.2s, 27.4w), (31.4s, 27.5w).

2) Bring the bog moss to Radagast the Brown.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Chapter 2: The Bloated Dead.
