General Quest

Kekkonen tells you the story of his people, and how they seek peace and stay always in the sun in order to avoid darkness. They fear the trolls that wander at night, and wish you would help the Jorthkyn to kill some trolls. He says: "You are very tiny…you might wish to bring help from friends of your own."

NOTE: I did this as a level 27 Hunter with my trusty dorf Guardian, level 26. We had a challenging time, and should have brought along health potions, heh. If you decide to tackle this as a duo, you should single-pull them and you'll need to rest in between battles. Not for the impatient! Your mileage may vary, but I would suggest that one of you be a tank.

STEPS:

1) Defeat 16 trolls in Harloeg. Kekkonen says to you:

"Would you fight the trolls for us, make them go away? They hide in the bog, far to the south and east of here, at a place that Elf-folk call Harloeg."

The trolls are Elite nasties, and they live in the forested swamp part of Harloeg, which is on the east side of the area. You will find them from the northern part, all the way down to the very southernmost section, and they are all around the same level, no matter which place you decide to hunt them. They are Balt-olog Crushers and Heavers, level 24-25 Elite, with 3,302-3,541 morale and 378-393 power (36s, 25.5w). After killing them, in the event you have difficulty (uh, like I did) finding your way OUT of the swamp area, there is a pathway around (34.6s, 25.8w) that you can use.

2) Talk to Kekkonen.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, either Leggings of the Earth-Kin, Kekkonen's Bow, Earth-Kin Earring, or Kekkonen's Hammer, and you will now be able to take the next quest, A Brokered Peace.
