Halbarad has heard that the Enemy is advancing from a multitude of directions. He wants you to determine if Fornost has been infested by the Enemy as well.

STEPS:

1) Talk to Mincham. Halbarad tells you:

"Travel to Mincham, a Ranger who camps on the Fields of Fornost to the west, and ask for his aid."

Mincham's camp is well west of Esteldin; it is at the fork in the Greenway, north of Trestlebridge (13.1s, 55.3w). Mincham tells you that "the Enemy has indeed taken Fornost once more."

2) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Chapter 2: The Gates of Fornost.
