Missing Things

Special Events Quest

This is a quest offered during the Summer Solstice Festival, June 20 - July 10, 2007.

Lalfor is lovelorn, that's all there is to it. He wishes to profess his undying love for the Elven maiden Nedhrien (the one who leads the dance). In his nervousness and distraction, he has managed to misplace all of his poems and gifts for his beloved.

Distraught and unable to manage, he sits in the festival-grounds at the south edge of Duillond, in Ered Luin (24.6s, 93.1w).

When you accept his quest, you obtain a note, "Lalfor's List", detailing the missing items. Right click on it in your inventory to read it.

LALFOR'S LIST

"Here's the list of things I seem to have misplaced:"

1. Lalfor's Goblet - "The sweet smell of freshly-baked food does awaken one's senses like the petals of a flower."
He was really just after some muffins and cookies, of course, and left his pretty goblet behind on the picnic table near the ovens after sampling the goods. (24.1s 93.2w, west side of Duillond)

2. Lalfor's Jewelry Box - "A box to hold the finest of crafted jewels for the most delicate elf ever seen."
He must have been distraced by the work of a tinker polishing gems at the workbench, and left his box behind there. (23.9, 93.0, west side of Duillond)

3. Lalfor's Blue Book - "I remember listening to the soft sound of running water while sitting and writing of my love."
Sappy lad might find book is soppy after sitting on the edge of the fountain for so long. The fountain is tucked in close to a building, so look carefully for it. (23.8s, 92.9w, north-west corner of Duillond)

4. Lalfor's Brown Book - "Buds of a freshly-growing tree do inspire many words."
Hardly a tree, but a very attractive, purple-flowered shrubbery hides his brown book. (23.8s, 92.7w, north-east corner of Duillond)

5. Lalfor's Bundle of Books - "Is there a better sound than the shouting of merchants or the hustle and bustle of a busy marketplace?"
Leave a valuable stack of books near most markets and they get lifted pretty quick, but Lalfor is lucky he is among other Elves. The books can be found on the ground, set against a building, close to a number of vendors. (23.9s, 92.7s, east side of Duillond)

Helping out this Elf will net you some good rewards if you are a farmer. If you are not a farmer, pass on the Lengalenas seeds to one - they'll be most grateful! Anyone can smoke the pipeweed that you are given. The smoke-ring effect of Stonecrop is very subtle, a simple grouping of three star-shaped clouds.
