Special Events Quest

This quest is offered during the Summer Solstice Festival, June 20 - July 10, 2007.

Head into Thorin's Hall and way down to the Inn that is tucked in under the main hall. If you have trouble finding it, try using this map. There you will find Ambi, already deep in his cups.

Ambi, like any good Dwarf, loves his ale. With the Festival on, he has more ale than usual, but this means that he is not getting his errands done! In fact, instead of delivering a pack full of goods for his father, Ambi has managed to lose the pack and its contents all around Thorin's Gate! Good thing you stopped by, isn't it? He certainly doesn't look like he's going to get around to doing things himself.

When you accept his quest, he gives you "Ambi's Shopping List" and sends you on your way. To read the note, find it in your inventory and right-click on it.

As Thorin's Hall is a pretty large place, I suggest you collect Ambi's items in the following order: 4, 3, 5, 1, 2.

AMBI'S SHOPPING LIST

"Here's a list of the things I lost:"

1. Ambi's Red Jar - "I think I may have been listening to someone hawking his wares." Well, after searching most of the vendor areas (and there are a lot), I discovered that he was referring to the auction house, at the north-west corner of Thorin's Hall.


2. Ambi's Green Jar - "The sound of coins is so sweet." Aha, clearly he is referring to the bank, because I am pretty sure that after all that ale, he doesn't have any more coin in his pockets! The bank is at the north-east corner of Thorin's Hall.


3. Ambi's Blue Bottle - "I listened to a wonderful performance recently." There is but one bard in Thorin's Hall; he performs on a dais on the west side of the Great Hall leading to the throne. The blue bottle sits there invitingly.


4. Ambi's Note - "I was watching two dwarves mining coal." I had no idea that it was coal they were mining, but miners line the tunnels leading from the Inn to the main part of Thorin's Hall. When you leave the Inn, turn right (east). As you round the corner and begin to head south, you will see Ambi's note on the ground on the right hand side.


5. Ambi's Pack - "Do you like fishing? I love it!" Head to the falls on the west side of Thorin's Gate (off the main hall). You'll see Ambi's pack just past the two fishing Dwarves that sit on the dam.

Head back to Ambi with all his items and claim your reward. If you are a Farmer, that's great - you'll be able to use them all. If not, be sure to pass the seeds on to a Farmer - they'll be delighted!

As for the Lengalenas pipe-weed... well, Dwarves are known for brewing, not growing pipe-weed, and they should probably keep it that way. The resulting smoke-ring results in a pebbly, roiling puff, but it's not going to impress anyone.
