Epic - Prologue Human QuestMundol sends you on your way to save Reniolind who is also in the marshes investigating the Fort
Find the Midgewater Fort:
The fort is in the middle of the midgewater marsh and is identified on the map with a flag marker so it should be easy to find. Kill a few spiders and you will be at the door.
Escort Reniolind
Reniolind is found in the first room of the Midgewater Fort. When he hears of Amdir, he asks you to help him through the Fort as a shortcut to get to Bree-town and his leader, Strider.
The path is a straight one, with no turnoffs. You will have to fight a series of crawly things, and spiders in small groups of 2-3.
Defeat Amdir
At the end of the passage, Amdir shows up again and strikes down Reniolind. You have to defeat him this time! He is level 10, and unfortunately I do not recall if he is elite or just signature.
Once Amdir runs out of health, he runs off AGAIN and the ruckus causes a level 10 signature spider named Morin to attack.
Once this fight is done, speak to the dying Reniolind who urges you to seek out the Prancing Pony in Bree-town to find Strider.
Speak to Barliman Butterbur
Exit the cave and head to Bree-town, just southwest of Combe. If you have not been in bree before, the Prancing Pony is to the North east of the town, and is clearly visible on our Bree-town Map.
Barliman is in the front room of the Prancing Pony, and after you speak to him you will get your first video cutscene. These scenes will display when you progress the games epic storyline. Book I lies ahead when you start to talk to Strider.
