Evil's Final Chapter

General Quest

You've got just one more mission before you get to hear Naerandir tell his tale, and that is to kill the big bad Wight-lord in the Great Barrow.

For your comparison purposes, here was my group makeup: 28 Hunter, 28 Guardian, 25 Minstrel, 25 Lore-Master and 20 Hunter. We did well, and it even seemed this fight was easier than the one for the right half of the key. Special thanks to Maligant, Risi, and Dragonlordx for helping Brasse and I with this quest and dungeon. Honorable mention goes to Grimsly!

STEPS:

1) Defeat Sambrog. Naerandir tells you:

"You will find him at the furthest end of the Great Barrow, the deepest halls. This key will open the way to him."

Head back to the Great Barrow, and I highly recommend (again) using Brasse's map of this place to help you find Sambrog.

Sambrog is a level 25 Nemesis mob with 14,452 morale and 4,914 power. As with most big and tough guys, they don't want to break too many nails fighting you, so Sambrog will send several signature mobs, level 25 Accursed Fell-Spirits, to do his dirty work throughout the battle. It's a tough fight, and I suggest taking out the ADDs as they come, as quickly as possible. Have your tank continue to focus on Sambrog during this time, as he is still attackable (and still whales on you) while the spirits get taken down by the rest of the group. If you kill Sambrog before you have killed his spirit friends, they will die with him. After he's dead, you can exit the dungeon in the area just past his room--this leads you to the Old Forest.

2) Talk to Naerandir. You finally get to hear his tale, which is most flattering:

"A better story I never could have composted. The tale of the hero, Wren, who braved the greatest of challenges in Bree-land, who found glory and riches and fame."

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, Isgor, and either Sambrog's Bane, Wight Guard, or Sambrog Stompers.

Special thanks go out to Wren for providing this quest writeup!
