Mincham's Dream

General Quest

Mincham has experienced nightmares of his dead wife, and realizes that a fell spirit, "creatures out of deepest darkness," has taken on the semblance of his wife. He cannot bear to face this creature, so he has asked you to take her on.

For comparison purposes, my group consisted of: myself, a 29 Hunter; Brasse, a 29 Guardian; and Grif, a 27 Captain. The three of us were successful on the first try, though it was not 'easy'. I would say the challenge level was fine for our group.

STEPS:

1) Confront the fell spirit Olnathron. Mincham says:

"From my dreams, I believe you will find her somewhere to the west of my wife's grave, a place where many of these dark creatures wander."

From the grave mound, head west to a large ruins called Tham Lorn. In the southeast corner, you will find Olnathron, a level 30 Elite mob with 4,250 morale and 709 power (11.4s, 59.1w). There are many level 26ish regular mobs in the area, though you should be safe from ADDs if you fight him where he stands. Talk with the Fell-Spirit, and as soon as you select "Continue Quest", you will be attacked!

2) Defeat Olnathron. Olnathron also brings out a few allies, level 20. Once he's dead, you can hop down the hill to the east to avoid getting aggro from the aforementioned prowling mobs.

3) Talk to Mincham.

4) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, either Vorth-Leggar, Olnathron's Destruction, or Olnathron's End.
